Why an MBA..?? a hanging question which has stumped so many people in the B school interviews that the count is lost. For me though, it was not an interview question. It was one that i asked myself more than an yr ago. TCS had been a nice experience. The salary improved in second year, work was good, work culture was good, onsite was a probability, everything looked fine. Then , WHY MBA?? It was a question i took more than 6 months to answer. The approach to a problem is based on the learning one has acquired in through education and experience. I found that though i was quick to learn through experience, the underlying concepts of a problem provided a challenge. This learning could be gained through a B school. The insight, foresight and understanding of a problem and its probable and possible solutions , can be improved upon tremendously by undergoing a management study. I wished to be the best in the filed and role i choose, and hence decided to go for MBA to improve my chances of giving the best. In future, my both short and long term goals are one - to be the best consultant/ senior consultant / higher executive in the field i choose to be in. I enjoy the journey more than the destination and don't want to limit myself to just my goals. I love my job and want to continue loving my job in future. Thats the reason I chose an MBA.
